Memory Maya is an awesome game for developing a strong Sanskrit vocabulary on ‘Values from the Bhagavad Gita’. This game has focused on contemporary art representations for these values, with a deep reverence for the traditional words. In addition to playing a Classic Memory game, these cards can be used for discussions, skit building and further collaborative games.
Lord Krishna advises Arjuna in the middle of the battlefield on the core values a wise person needs to lead a complete life. These values through words are a dynamic reflection on timeless concepts.
Esha Sharma, a High School student from Syosset, Long Island, is the extraordinary artist behind this series, giving life to the ‘Values’ with her unique vision. She developed 24 works of art, and a couple are below. Memory Maya has a set of 48 cards for purposes of the classic memory game. The artwork can lead to many discussions on abstract, symbolic representation of nuanced values. We have a Teachers Aid in development for many more ideas that can be implemented with this dynamic deck. It will be available as a download here soon.
